CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENT – CREATING GREEN WARRIORS

Our planet is our home. Practicing an eco-friendly life style and promoting green business is the only way to build a greener environment.

DAVIM Centre for Environment is small step towards addressing the environmental crisis confronting the humanity and various other species on the planet.

Environmental issues are a key theme to all aspects of work throughout this Centre. All Faculties and Students are encouraged to have deep regard for the environment they are in and what the possible implications of their actions may have on it.

DAVIM Centre for Environment accepts its obligation to comply with all relevant legislation and minimize its impact upon the environment. In recognition of this the Centre has begun to implement an environmental system, which focuses on:

  • Education about environmental issues
  • Minimizing waste
  • Monitoring of energy consumption
  • Steadfast commitment to preventing pollution
  • Continuous Afforestation Activities

Some of the routine activities of the center are- Sensitization Seminars, Tree plantation, Sapling Distribution, Commemoration of Earth Day , Ozone Day, etc.

DAVIM’s Students of MBA, MCA and Professional courses –ICWA, CA, CS are very much aware that their conscious efforts to check global warming will really show up. In this era, such small steps by these young environmentalists may help to bring some respite to the nature.

It is good to see the Budding environmentalist’s of DAVIM- Faridabad join hands to plant atleast 200 saplings at a time at different green belts in Faridabad. This is an effort initiated by DAVIM Center for Environment in collaboration with MCF.

DAVIM Centre for Environment organized seminars in recent past on Green Technology, Green cities, Global Warming, Ozone depletion.

DAVIM is also supporting “Roshni Vidya Mandir” a school run by an NGO with an objective of imparting free education to the underprivileged children in the society.

Dr. N.K. Sharma, Principal Director rightly puts it as “let’s think about our environment otherwise our children will not forgive us.” Also Ms. Neelam Gulati, Head, Centre for Environment, often repeats a famous quote “We did not inherit the earth from our ancestors; it has been lent to us by our Children.”

Ms. Vandana Jain the Center In-charge enthusiastically guides the students in various activities and believes in the motto “A little effort by each one of us will do much to save the environment”

DAVIM, Centre for Environment proposes to do more such activities continuously on regular basis.
