ABOUT THE COURSE
In the era of globalization and corporate cultures every Indian and foreign organization wants to have a global market network. Mostly all the companies desire to produce the product at a lower cost and sell at high margins. To fulfill the objective, cost and management accountants are required and their demand is on a rise ranging from small and medium scale enterprises to multinationals. In early times “Indian Cost accountant service” was formulated equivalent to 1st class officers. Later the service was converted into “The Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India”. The job of Cost management expert in the modern times, only that company survives in market, which produces low cost, quality product. This increases the need of cost management executives. The cost manager not only reduces the cost but also finds and eliminates the non-value adding activities in the organization. in this course offered by ICWAI, the budding professionals are given comprehensive training to handle real life business problems.
CMA course is divided into 3 parts viz. Foundation, Intermediate and Final. There is a gap of 6 month each in all these parts. Foundation course is of 6 months. Intermediate course has 2 stages of 6 months each. Final course also has 2 stages of 6 month each.
ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSIONS
Those who have done only 10+2 have to undergo all the stages. The Graduate students get direct admission into intermediate course. Student irrespective of the stream in graduation, whether arts, science or commerce, can pursue this course.
Admissions are done twice a year i.e. in April-May for July to December batch and in October-November for Jan to June Batch.
THE ROAD AHEAD – EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The ICMAI has tie up with numerous organizations for training and placement. It also conducts campus interviews. Even ICMAI intermediate pass students get good jobs. Students can even contest for government job of I.C.A.S, and in private and public firms.
