“Sustainability” is the mantra of recent times. We are extracting a lot from the nature, but, not giving it back much and thus the need to hold talks, conferences, to make people understand the vitality of it is very important. Hence, following the custom of DAV’s, in initiating the projects of social importance and spreading general awareness regarding them, one of the pioneer institutes of DAVCMC, DAV Institute of Management Faridabad, under the aegis of the Head of the Institute Dr. Neelam Gulati, organized an international conference on technology for sustainability – Engineering, Information Technology, Management and Environment – (SUSTECH-2015) in its decked up power-packed auditorium on 28th November 2015 in association with AR Research Publication, headed by Mr. Atul Kumar Sharma and Mrs. Reshu Gupta.

The conference was inaugurated by Sh. Prabodh Mahajan, Vice President DAVCMC, a pioneer pillar of constant strength, guide and motivation for the complete fraternity of DAVIM. The conference was adorned by other honorable distinguished guests, like, Dr. N.S. Gill (Professor & HOD - Comp. Sc., MD University, Rohtak) Dr. K.K. Saini (Director Principal Hindu College , Sonipat) and Sh. Devashish from Redeem Renewable Energy Ltd. Sh. Mahajan shared his deep knowledge with the audience on the topic and stimulated them to venture into new arenas. Dr. N.S. Gill appreciated the significance of the organization of such conferences as these broaden the Management and IT subjects for a more enlightened scholarly enquiry.

All the sessions were well attended by distinguished scholars and students alike. The researchers were from diverse field with representation from Engineering, Computer Science, Social Studies, and many more. The sessions also saw the presence of the papers of many distinguished academicians and research scholars from many Indian States, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Uttrakhand and different countries including authors from Prairie View A&M University, USA, Agricultural University of Tirana, Albaria and South Africa. Dr. Anamika Bhargava, Convener of the conference, Mrs. Priti Bali and all DAVIM faculty organized this conference in association with AR Research International Journals & Publications.

DAVIM believes that the ordinary performs the extra ordinary. And keeping in mind the interest of their zestful students, the team of Research and Development Cell , of the Institute, Dr. Anamika Bhargava, Ms. Preeeti Bali and Ms. Pooja Kaul, organized a Digital India workshop in collaboration with National-E Governance Division Ministry of Electronics and Information technology, Government of India, on 5th November 2016.

DAVIM took ahead the revolutionizing innovative idea of Digital India, initiated by, our honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi. Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, was the Chief Guest, accompanied by Mr. Aman Goel, BJP Youth leader, Mr. Manjeet Nath, the representative of National-e-Governance Division and the guest of honour Dr. N.P. Singh, Professor, MDI Gurgoan and Shri Sant Gopal Gupta, Social Worker. They all postulated that Digital India and its aligned activities would give staggering growth to the E-Governance of the country. Mr. Manjeet Nath, the representative of National-e-Governance Division, “also conducted Digital India Quiz”.

Dr. Neelam Gulati, encouraged the students for presenting the skits on various themes depicting Digital India and motivated all to become Techno- friendly. She also appreciated the faculty behind the successful culmination of the workshop. The day was marked in the history of DAVIM, when so many distinguished guests adorned their auditorium and graced the occasion by their presence.

A workshop on “Information Security” was organized under the Research and Development Cell by its member, Dr.Anamika Bhargava and Ms. Poja Kaul on 8th February 2017. Ms. Neha Bajpai Technical Officer at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida was the Chief Speaker, wherein she lectured the students on the growing need of learning about Information Security to safeguard their documents, personal and professional, from the prevalent hackers.

Ms Priyanka Jain a Project Engineer in CDAC and Ms. Ashu Technical Officer in CDAC accompanied her. The students of M.C.A interacted well with the speaker. Dr. Neelam Gulati appreciated the efforts of Ms. Poja Kaul and hoped that more sessions in future on this would benefit the students at great length

Research and Development Cell (IT) of DAV Institute of Management organized a “National Conference on Information Technology, Engineering, Environment Science and Management. “ on 7 th April 2018 Conference was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Guest, Dr. Priya Ranjan Triwedi, President Confederation of Indian Universities, in the august presence of Dr. Neelam Gulati, the Head of DAVIM and the Chief Patron of DAVIM Centre for Environment, Shri J.P.Malhotra, President DLF & Haryana Productivity Council, Dr. Nasib Singh Gill, Professor at M.D.U Rohtak, and Dr. Vikram Goel, Professor at IIIT, Delhi, Dr. Anamika Bhargava Director of Research Cell(IT) Dr. Ritu Arora , Director of FDP Cell & Publications of DAVIM, Dr. Ashima Tandon , Associate Director of FDP Cell & Publications and. In his speech, Dr. Triwedi encouraged the youth to come forward for making various developments in their country and also the institutes to “catch them young” and channelize their energy in the positive direction. SH. J.P.Malhotra, Dr. Nasib Singh Gill and Dr. Vikram Goel postulated on the need to read more as it would widen the analytical skills of the students and develop them into powerful resources for the future of their country.

The confident team of, Research and Development Cell (IT) of DAVIM, behind the National Conference comprised of Dr. Anamika Bhargava, Ms. Pooja Kaul and Ms.Preeti Bali. The conference was an opportunity to bring together academicians, leading engineers, industry researchers and scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results about numerous aspects of current growth and development in the related fields. The eminent Panel Chair persons in the conference were Prof.(Dr.) Parul Khanna, IMT ,Faridabad, Prof.(Dr.) Manpreet Kaur, NGFCET, Palwal, Prof.(Dr.) Urvesh Chaudhary, AITM , Palwal, Dr. Archana Bhatia, DAVCC, Faridabad, Dr. Rashmi Aggarwal, MRIIS, Faridabad, Dr. Anupama Chadha, MRIIS, Faridabad, Dr. Karina Bhatia, G D Goenka Universitry , Gurgaon and Mr. Neeraj Chopra NGFCET, Palwal. It featured fifty original research papers, industrial papers and poster presentations on theory, design and implementation. In the conference young students and researchers got the opportunity to interact with the subject experts in their research areas. The Impressive Times of Faridabad were the media partner. The Head of the Institute, Dr. Neelam Gulati, thanked the esteemed guests in her speech and motivated the audience to adhere to the learning of the day to be successful in whichever field of life they would venture into. She urged them all to be crusaders with DAVIM to make the environment better and safer for all. The team of R&D Cell (IT) and DAVIM Centre for Environment Team proposed the Vote of thanks on different occasions and promised the audience to bring more of such grand enriching events in the future years to come.

A workshop on “Digital Marketing” was organized under the Research and Development Cell by its member, Dr.Anamika Bhargava and Ms. Priti Bali on 8th February 2019. Mr.Shshank Shram and Mr.Pratik Sharma From Croma Campus Noida were the resource speaker, wherein they lectured the students on the upcoming need of digital marketing and related technologies are helping in online promotion and sales of products . They also told about the job opportunities in the related fields .

The students of M.C.A ,B.C.A ,B.Sc and B.CAM interacted well with the speakers. Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, Principal Director DAVIM , motivated to the students and appreciated the efforts of Dr.Anamika Bhargava , Ms. Priti Bali and Ms. Poja Sachdeva and hoped that more sessions in future on this would help the students in their future profession.
