Since its inception, the goal of the Training and Placement cell is to provide students not only with a platform for using their potential to gain valuable experience by working as trainee in industry, but also acting as interface between institute and industry seeking talented young graduates and post graduates in the field of management and information technology.
SUMMER TRAINING/ INTERNSHIP
The cell organizes 4-6 weeks of Summer Training/ Internship in varied industries, which is Mandatory as per university norms, at Post Graduate and Under Graduate Levels, in various Management and IT fields. It acts as a connecting link between academia and industry and helps the students to learn the art of building Interpersonal Relationships, the need of working in a Team as well as understanding the basics of Corporate and Business Etiquette.
FINAL PLACEMENT
The cell centrally handles the Campus Placements of the final year students by organizing Campus Placement Drives and provides full support to the Visiting Companies at every stage of Placement Process. It also participates in the Off-Campus placement camps to make students explore the whole world of employment opportunities.
A common Placement Brochure is prepared which carries all the information about institute and the students.
OTHER ACTIVITIES DAV Institute of Management really understands the importance of aiding its students to land a job or select entrepreneurship. For this, all efforts are made and resources are provided to gain requisite skills.
Industry Visits: Visits to various industries are organized on periodic basis. Industrial Visits aim at providing the practical perspective of the world of the corporate. It provides students an opportunity to learn practically through interactions, working methods and employment practices.
Guest Lectures: Cell keeps on inviting Corporate executives from different Industries and verticals for Guest Lectures and Industry Interactions. They deliver lectures in their area of expertise and students get a chance to interact with them to understand the real- life problems and situations
