In today’s scenario making the teaching learning process interesting, engaging, and worthwhile experience is a real challenge. At DAVIM we promote teaching learning through various innovative methods. We took an initiative and implemented the concept of Google Classroom in May 2019. Google Classroom is a free service for institutions and non-profit organizations offered under the Google for Education scheme. It is a user friendly module which facilitates online teacher-student interactions and distribution of learning resources like, assignments, quizzes, etc. Here the Faculty can upload e-contents files or data in the following formats: ppt, pdf, doc, avi, MP4, etc. related to various subjects that are being taught in various courses. These e-contents help the students as they are prepared by the faculty keeping in mind the requirements of the students.
Not only this it is a platform with the help of which we can share various learning resources prepared by eminent academicians with our students. In Google Classroom we have created-classes for all the departments and have successfully added the faculty teaching in these respective departments. Faculty can contribute in this module by using their GMAIL-ID. Students can access this e-module using Google Classroom App on their android mobile phones. The student’s gmail account is essential for accessing it. Student can join his/her respective departments through the assigned CLASS CODES. Google Classroom actually enhances the communication between the students and the teachers. At DAVIM we have a dedicated team for Google Classroom .
